"EVERY 15 MINUTES" By Tony Hernandez Pioneer High School
There was an accident today pop, and guess what It involved policemen and fire trucks I'm sad to say that the time has come To say good-bye to your only son I'm sorry to say that alcohol was related I was sober and he was the one who made it It was someone's dumb choice that made this occur He is walking around and I am laying here hurt As my eyes are closing and time is running out In my mind there is no doubt That you are the best Dad I could ever ask for I'm just happy about one thing: you're not on the floor

I have had the opportunity to speak at more than 100 "Every 15 Minute" programs in California and a dozen "Shattered Dreams" programs in Texas and Florida. I believe this two day-mock crash-student involved program is the best tool we have today in the fight against drunk driving and underage drinking. Participants and spectators are given a first hand view of the pain, destruction and heartache created by drunk drivers. The lasting impression left by this experience is priceless! Although putting this program on can be somewhat overwhelming. With this webpage I hope to create a resource list that makes it easier for schools and organizations to bring the "Every 15 Minutes" or "Shattered Dreams" program to their communities. Below are hopefully helpful links and contacts - If you would like to add your organization or services to this list please email or call me. I would also like to start a mentors list - If you have become pretty good at organizing this program for your school (and I know a bunch of you!) help a newby. How much would it have helped your first event to of had a person you could call and ask advice or brainstorm with?? Email or call if I can add your name and contact info to the mentors list - and thankyouthankyouthankyou to those already on it.
